Responsible for coordinating social media activities for the company and is responsible for writing, reviewing, and editing marketing materials. This role will work with the Director of Marketing and collaborate with staff from across the organization to promote their goals and messages while maintaining consistency in voice and brand. 

Assumes responsibility for the coordination of communication within and outside of the company 
a. Responsible for content development which includes writing copy for multiple platforms including social media, blogs, website, articles, interviews,
e-newsletters, new business development marketing materials, press releases, product copy, supportive copy for seminars and special events. 
b. Responsible for composing and posting to social media, keeping voice and tone consistent with company brand. 
c. Create and maintain the Social Media communications calendar. 
d. Monitor social media groups, trends, tools, and applications and recommend actions/next steps. 
e. Monitor the company’s social media performance usage reports and tracking search engine results. 
f. Respond to social media inquiries about online activities in a timely and courteous fashion. 
g. Manage and regularly update media contact list. 
h. Establish, maintain and improve relationships with media contacts by responding to inquiries and coordinating advertorial/editorial opportunities.

3. Works on both small and large-scale projects with a self-starting and positive attitude, and communicates well with Director of Marketing and marketing team members. 
4. Fosters creativity in problem-solving and developing new ideas along with input from marketing team members. 
6. Effective management of social media outlets and email software (Constant Contact) 
7. The Company’s professional standards are maintained and good business relations exist with outside vendors. 
8. Effective working relations exist with Company personnel. Assistance is provided as needed. 
9. Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems, and of any special needs and/or technical equipment in order to complete assignments to brand standards. 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, or related field from a four-year college. 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, metrics and tracking. 
Knowledge of all related computer applications. 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least one to two years of related experience. Web publishing experience. Managing communications through website planning, management, and production. 
Well organized. 
Project management. 
Accurate and attentive to detail. 
Excellent communications and public relations abilities. 
Strong typing and computer application skills. 
Ability to assist and support others. 
Able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.
