Sheldon Lubin
With a career spanning more than four decades, Sheldon played a pivotal role in shaping the growth, innovation, and long-term success of Elran, a family-founded furniture company established in 1967 by his father, Irving Lubin. Entering the business in 1972, he gained comprehensive operational experience across the company from an early stage. He was instrumental, along with his father, in bringing motion furniture to Elran in 1982 after they were introduced to it at the Toronto furniture market, marking a key expansion in the company's pioneering of reclining sofas and loveseats.
In the late 1990s, Sheldon pioneered the expansion into the USA market, opening a new division that drove significant growth and established Elran as a major exporter across North America. As a strategic second-generation leader and partner alongside his brother-in-law, Eric Abecassis, he helped reinvent and modernize Elran for the next era of growth. The company entered its third generation in 2005 with the addition of his son, Jesse Lubin, and nephew, Michael Abecassis, ensuring continuity of the family legacy. He retired in November 2019, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, innovation, and multi-generational success.
Jesse Lubin
He officially joined the company in 2005, starting on the factory floor to learn the craft of manufacturing and the full production process. He then spent two years in customer service, gaining valuable insight into customer needs and building strong relationships. Jesse later spent a decade leading Research & Development, overseeing new product creation and driving continuous improvement projects. For the past seven years, he has served as Vice President of U.S. Sales, focusing on growth and overseeing the company’s national sales rep force.
With a deep appreciation for the complexity, creativity, and legacy of the furniture world, Jesse genuinely loves what he does. He looks forward to helping shape the future of an industry that has always been part of who he is.

Jeff Tilson is a veteran of the furniture industry with 4 decades of hands-on, customer-focused experience. His career began on the manufacturing floor in upholstery production, where he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the details that make high-quality furniture stand out. This foundation guided his transition into furniture manufacturing sales, where he has spent decades representing respected brands and helping them understand customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for growth.
Jeff has long been recognized for his collaborative approach within the industry. He served as the chair of an advisory board that acted as a strategic sounding board for manufacturers, providing insight on market conditions, product direction, and operational challenges. His ability to bridge the gap between product creation and customer expectations has made him a valued partner throughout his career.
Driven by experience, integrity, and a true passion for the business, Jeff continues to contribute to the industry he has spent a lifetime helping shape.

As a proud third-generation leader in his family’s business, founded by his grandfather, Irving Lubin, and later led by his father, Sheldon Lubin, who served as president for more than 25 years, now run by his Uncle Eric Abecassis as President CEO, his cousin Michael Abecassis and himself.
