JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and expand our market presence. This position is responsible for the company's growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategies and building relationships with builders and realtors and leveraging interior design expertise to tailor solutions that meet the client’s needs. Key duties include managing client relationships, negotiating contracts and leading a team to achieve sales and growth goals.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

1. Assumes Responsibility for accurate and efficient performance of all Marketing support functions.

  • Strategic planning to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company objectives and drive growth.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with builders and realtors to insure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to align with business strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and business activities
  • Negotiate and prepare design agreements.
  • Create a Business Development budget for all stores

2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations, communications, and coordinates with Company personnel and management.

  • Manage and mentors a team of Business Development Coordinators, setting goals and monitoring performance.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning for workshops and special events.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent the company.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably within the Construction and/or Interior Design industry.
  • Strong understanding of Interior Design principles and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
  • 5 years in Business Development.

Education: Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
