Jean Wemyss
Jean Wemyss knew from an early age that she wanted to be an artist – she just didn’t realize that spaces would be her canvas. An interior designer of over three decades, she obtained her art degree working primarily in textiles and ceramics, going on to design automotive interiors before finding her passion in styling homes. Her talent in the model merchandising arena has been recognized in the form of many local Parade of Homes awards.
Interiors designed by Jean will be anything but plain – she does not consider herself a minimalist, especially when it comes to texture. She is drawn to colorful, eclectic elements that echo her style of painting. Jean believes that one’s home is their statement – her job is to learn what that is and express it, and as a designer, she is reliable and versatile.
Originally from Virginia and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Jean relocated to Florida in 1980 to open a design business, which grew along with the influx of tourism brought in by Orlando’s theme parks. These days, you can find her doing what she loves in our Boca Raton showroom – creating homes of incredible beauty on time, and within budget.
