Leticia Mayo-Jorgensen
With a longstanding love of beautifying the world and the people around her, it’s no surprise that Leticia Mayo-Jorgensen ended up as a professional interior designer! Originally a licensed cosmetologist, she realized that design was her destiny two decades ago, thanks to conversations with a hair client who was a designer at the time. Leticia learned about the many things that linked the two professions, and applied her love of color and texture to styling the homes of her clients.
For many, Leticia says, a home is a refuge. For others, it is a confidence booster. However, for most it is a place to create memories, and she facilitates that through her design. A family person herself, she enjoys warm, light and inviting spaces where people can gather and experience life. One of her favorite spaces within her home, her kitchen, is one such place – she loves to experiment with different foods and find out what her husband, who is a chef, has to say. In her free time, she also enjoys creative home activities with her son and daughter, and browsing other designers’ Instagram profiles to gather inspiration. On trends she says that similarly to architecture, if it’s a good fit it will stick around!
