The Buyer Assistant position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Merchandising Department. Tasks will be executed as assigned by the Buyer to include input of purchase orders, follow up on purchase orders, product assortment tasks and communication both internal and external as needed.

• Assumes responsibility for the timely and accurate coordination of the buying function.
• Assumes responsibility for Office organization
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective business relations with clients, vendors and other business professionals.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with area staff and with management.
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft products
• Two to three years office coordination experience
• Attention to detail
• Solid analytical, creative and problems-solving abilities
• Able to work independently
• Solid written and oral communication skills
